About the CSP-AB
Our Purpose

The Cloud Service Providers - Advisory Board (CSP-AB) is a Trade Association which represents the world’s leading cloud companies and supports standards and policies that promote and enable secure cloud adoption in the public and private sectors. Our member companies are global leaders in the drive to provide safe, scalable, and accredited digital government services, with a focus on both the civil servants delivering those services and the end-users receiving them.
Since the establishment of FedRAMP, CSPs have sought to engage with the FedRAMP PMO, JAB, and others to provide technical guidance and feedback on policies applicable to the provision of cloud services. At times, CSPs have sought to share best practices and their industry expertise, and bring an industry perspective to the questions being addressed within the FedRAMP program. The CSP-AB was formed to provide a regular channel for such efforts, both with respect to the FedRAMP program and other programs applicable to the development of standards relating to secure cloud services.
The CSP-AB’s efforts should help realize increased efficiencies for Federal agencies, CSPs, and third-party assessment organizations (3PAOs), and should improve security by focusing agency, CSP, and 3PAO attention on critical issues. Ultimately, CSP-AB’s engagement with FedRAMP and other relevant stakeholders will help the Federal government develop more agile, effective, and innovative standards. It also creates an industry forum for policy-related collaboration.
